23 Applicants attended the DKD FINAS Pitching session


Recently, on 18 September at the Le Meridien Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, a total of 23 FINAS Digital Content Fund (DKD) applicants attended the 'Pitching' session for the Sabah Zone.

Several applicants shared pictures on their respective Facebook websites, including Tony Francis Gitom and his group from Karyawan Square, Marc Abas, Yuri Mezal and Ojet, Kristo Yanto. They have also seen in the waiting room, where the singer and John Samud and his group, Ebi Kornelis, Marlin Brando and Freddy Harmthon.



According to Freddy Harmthon, the 'Pitching' session this time was his first experience where he presented an exclusive documentary project interview with art activists in Sabah titled 'Jom Kita Snap'.

"Apart from promoting our art activists, this show also promotes local tourist locations and products such as local food and handicrafts.

"If you look, 23 applications, including from my own company, it is a good development, and we hope that this number is increasing from year to year.

"This indicates that our industry is growing. But maybe all the artists need to work together so that our industry is on par with foreign countries, "he said.

"Hopefully all the publishers who come today who are enthusiastic and have strong desires, to be given the opportunity and sit as low, stand as high as the great artists from the peninsula.

"If we look, in the past, artists in Sabah were less than great artists, but now there are more and more great artists," said Ebi Kornelis when interviewed by LENSA FINAS
